Winning Australia’s Best Tourist Attraction for 2012, 2014 and 2015 this three hour Wilderness Cruise explores the rugged coastline of South Bruny National Park.
The cruise travels beneath towering sea cliffs and up close to ‘Breathing Rock’ which explodes water every minute. You’ll explore deep sea caves, zoom through the narrow gap between the coast and ‘The Monument’ and feel the power of nature at the point where the Tasman Sea meets the might of the Southern Ocean.
Wildlife commonly encountered includes Australian and New Zealand fur seals, common and bottlenose dolphins, thousands of seabirds and whales during migration. The custom built iconic yellow boats are ideal for eco cruising, allowing 360 degree viewing and close interaction with the abundant wildlife.
At Kettering we’ll get you set up on your bike of choice, either state of the art e-bike, traditional hybrid or road bike along with all the necessary safety gear and ready for boarding the ferry to Bruny Island.
You’ll have directions to get to Adventure Bay where you’ll enjoy an afternoon exploring the water on the East coast of Bruny Island. This Wilderness Cruise truly offers some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.
After the boat ride you cycle to Captain Cook Holiday Park or other accommodation of your choice, check in and get settled. There will be time to relax and enjoy the surroundings, go for a walk on the beach or take the bike and explore more of the local terrain.
The following morning is at your leisure. Continue to explore the island and all of the tasty options as you ride back to Roberts Point to catch ferry back to Kettering.

Get to us at Kettering by 8:30 – 9:00 AM and be fitted with the right bike and gear. There is a morning bus service from Hobart or Uber will cost you around $60 for up to 4 people and will take 35 or 40 minutes

After collecting your bike you need to be on the 9AM, 9:30 or 10AM ferry to Bruny Island so you have plenty of time for the 2 to 3 hour ride to Adventure Bay and enjoy the scenary along the way. There will be time to stop along the way for refreshments.
2pm Departure: Adventure Bay
Be sure to arrive at Pennicott Cruises by 1:30PM. This gives you time to check in and have more refreshments.

Caption Cook Holiday Park has lovely Villa units, on site vans or camping depending on your budget, the park is right near the waters edge.
The following day you can take your time to ride back to catch the Ferry from Roberts Point. Along the way you have the Bruny Island Berry Farm, Bruny Island Chocolate Company, Bruny Island Cheese and Beer, Get Shucked Oysters, the Honey Pot, Truganini Lookout at the Neck, Island Scenic Flights along with beaches and walks, you’ve got all day, you might as well enjoy it.
The last Ferry leaves Bruny at 7:15pm, the last bus to back Hobart leaves Kettering at 5:18 (no busses on sundays), or an Uber trip from Kettering back to Hobart will cost around $60 for up to 4 people.
