Picking up your bikes near the Kettering Ferry, enjoy the ride across the D’Entrecasteaux channel to Bruny Island. A 2.5 hour bike ride to Alonnah will offer you many sights along the way. Once at Alonnah meet up with the friendly team at Bruny Island Oyster Tours for 2 hour private boat ride. Enjoy nature at its finest along with all the smells and tastes that go with it. Upon your return to Alonnah you have a choice. Either bike ride back to Kettering on the same day or keep the bike for a second day and make the most of your time on the island.
Collect bikes (traditional or eBike) from Kettering, take the ferry across to Bruny Island and ride 36km (approx. 2.5 hours) to Alonnah.
There you will meet with one of the friendly team from Bruny Island Oyster Tours. Accompany them on a 2 hour private boat tour of the lower part of the D’Entrecasteaux channel. Experience the beautiful waters and secluded beaches of South Bruny Island. There isn’t much these guy’s don’t know about the local area and its history. You get to go to places that other visitors rarely access and enjoy succulent seafood straight from the sea.
After the boat tour then you can either stay the night at Alonnah or do the return ride back to Kettering.
When you are ready, cycle back to the ferry terminal and head back across the water to Kettering where you can drop your bikes off and tell Rob all about your adventures.
