Bruny Island

Bruny is a place of two halves separated by a narrow penguin populated Isthmus called ‘The Neck’.

The center part of the island is relatively flat with both north and south ends ranging from undulating to some hilly and steep sections.

Road conditions range from well maintained sealed and dirt roads to poorly maintained roads and track.

Explore Bruny Island

Off the South-eastern coast of Tasmania and separated by a 20 minute ferry ride across the D’Entrecasteaux Channel.

The island has a total length of 100 kilometres and is covered with eucalyptus forests, grazing land, rugged coasts, lagoons and wonderful beaches. It is traversed by sealed and well maintained gravel dirt roads from Dennes Point in the North through to Cloudy Bay in the South.

A foodie’s paradise awaits with local business’ producing cheese, beer, wine and much more.

Kettering is a coastal town on the D’Entrecasteaux Channel.  It serves as the starting point for your cycling adventure.

In the area you will have the opportunity to cycle Manuka Road and through to Conningham Recreation Reserve and Beach.   Or on further to the beautiful ‘Snug Falls’.

We can help you map out the best route for any destination.
